Support through Fund-raisers
Rather than pass the total cost of education on to parents in the form of tuition, Valley Christian Academy chooses to charge parents a portion of the total cost in the form of tuition, then work to raise funds through various means to make up the difference. There are four major annual fund raising activities throughout the year.
The year kicks off in September with the Magazine Sale. Students find family and friends who will purchase or renew a subscription to a favorite magazine. This year, we also sold Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough (it was good, too!).
During the cold winter, we take to the bowling lanes for our Bowl-a-thon. Students from all grades bowl with their friends at a local bowling alley. Even the teachers and Administrator get in on the rolling.
In the spring, we sell World's Finest Chocolate- for the sweet tooth in us all!
In May, we host our "Searching For Difference Makers" Event. The wonderful evening involves our Silent Auction and a special activity to follow- this year, it's comedian Kenn Kington. Learn more about the 2010 BIG NIGHT OUT here.
